Product Q&A
Q: What does Sheath’s texture feel like, and does it resist fingerprints and slipping?
A: Sheath features our signature pebbled texture—refined over years of design iterations and customer feedback—delivering a fine, tactile finish that feels premium and secure without being sticky or overly coarse. Made from our proprietary micro-etched material, it is highly resistant to skin oils, fingerprints, and smudges. You will immediately notice its exceptional, non-slip grip and solid in-hand feel.
Q: How protective and scratch-resistant is Sheath?
A: Sheath provides outstanding drop protection without unnecessary bulk. Sculpted from ShockLite™, our proprietary impact-absorbing polymer, it is drop-tested to 4.6 m / 15 ft. Geometric grooves along the interior perimeter further dissipate impact forces, while a soft interior microfiber lining cushions the back of your phone. Up front and on the back, precisely raised screen and camera lips protect your glass surfaces. The micro-etched exterior is also exceptionally scratch-resistant—even light contact with a utility blade won't leave noticeable damage.
Q: What material is Sheath made of?
A: Sheath is sculpted from ShockLite™, a proprietary high-performance polymer developed by Caudabe in the USA. It is ultra-lightweight, extremely durable, and features exceptional stretch resistance, ensuring it will not stretch out or go loose over time.
Q: Is Sheath compatible with full-coverage screen protectors?
A: Designed with maximum impact protection in mind, Sheath’s edges curve slightly inward over the front display. We recommend pairing it with Caudabe’s Crystal Shield tempered glass screen protector (available as a 2-pack add-on on the product page).
If you prefer third-party screen protectors, choose a version with slightly smaller coverage (commonly available at mobile retail shops). Always install the phone case first before applying the screen protector, and make sure it is perfectly centered to prevent lifting along the edges.
Q: Does Sheath work with third-party charging cables?
A: Yes, Sheath features an enlarged, precision-cut charging port that easily accommodates the vast majority of third-party USB-C and Lightning cables.
Q: Does Sheath support wireless charging and MagSafe accessories?
A: Yes. Sheath fully supports standard wireless charging and features an integrated MagSafe magnet array. It is fully compatible with MagSafe chargers, car mounts, wallets, floating stands, and third-party MagSafe accessories.
Note: Installing the case or attaching accessories will not trigger the native Apple MagSafe screen animation. This animation only displays on official Apple accessories and has zero impact on charging speeds or magnetic strength.
Q: How should I clean and maintain my Sheath MagSafe case?
A: Remove the case from your phone and gently wipe the exterior with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid getting moisture on the interior lining to protect the embedded MagSafe magnet layer. Proper care ensures long-lasting durability.
Q: Is Sheath easy to install and remove?
A: Yes. Thanks to the high elasticity of our ShockLite™ polymer, installing and removing Sheath is effortless. However, avoid excessive twisting or bending during removal to prevent damaging the internal MagSafe magnet assembly.
Q: What is the difference between Sheath, Synthesis, and Paragon?
A: While all three models offer superior impact protection, each features a distinct design, material composition, and in-hand feel:
Sheath: Features our signature pebbled texture in a sleek, minimalist profile for an optimal balance of tactile grip, slimness, and high-impact protection.
Synthesis: Delivers a more structured, rigid back shell combined with a distinctive dot-matrix pattern along the flexible perimeter for enhanced edge grip.
Paragon: Offers a refined, ergonomic feel with a smooth matte finish, a sculpted frame, and our Adaptive Edge screen lip—which rises at the top and bottom for drop protection while remaining nearly flush along the sides for fluid swiping.
